Notable Awards

2020 DoD National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship: With an acceptance rate of ~5%, I was awarded the NDSEG Fellowship in 2020 for research that is relevant to the Defense mission. My fellowship, sponsored by the Army Research Office, provided 36 consecutive months of full tuition, required fees, and a monthly stipend of $3200 ($3,600 in 2025). 

2022 Bioengineering Graduate Association Fellowship: As the Co-President of the BGA, I was awarded a $8600 fellowship for my role in facilitating communication between Bioengineering students and the various Engineering departments. 

2023 UCLA Dissertation Year Fellowship: I was nominated by the Bioengineering Department to receive the fellowship, which supports doctoral students who are advanced to candidacy and ready to file a dissertation within a year. 

2023 NSF National I-Corps Training Program: As the entrepreneurial lead for my I-Corps team, which also consisted of a technical lead (PI) and an industry mentor, I received a $50k immersive, entrepreneurial training through market research that facilitated the transformation of invention to impact.

2024 NIH T32 Postdoctoral Training Award: The  Caltech/UCLA Integrated NIH T32 Cardiovascular Engineering Training Program provides training for underrepresented postdoctoral scholars like me to prepare for leadership roles in industry or academia.
